2019 will see the first time RCI Adventure Products has attended IAAPA Expo, but the 16th consecutive year for the company formerly known as Ropes Courses Incorporated.

During the four-day show, the newly refreshed adventure attractions firm will be showcasing a fully constructed Sky Trail aerial attraction consisting of new elements along with a multi-activity Clip ’n Climb configuration.,
Already commonly referred to as RCI for years, the manufacturer officially made the decision to adopt the new name to better reflect the product expansion that has occurred in recent years. It is this growth and progress that the company says has ultimately elevated it beyond its “often limiting ropes courses persona.”
“This company was founded 30 years ago with the name Ropes Courses Incorporated but since then, we have grown tremendously and it felt like the right time to transition into a new era of ourselves,” said Jim Liggett, president and founder of RCI. “The new name makes it clear that we offer more than just one product and it gives us the space we need to grow even more.”
The updated brand identity won’t be the only new development for RCI at this year’s IAAPA show, as it will also be premiering two new products: Adventure Trail and the Destination series, a product line consisting of three distinct models. Adventure Trail is RCI’s first unharnessed netplay product that features no participant weight or height requirement prior to entrance. All ages and abilities are encouraged to climb up the net elevator and make their way, in whatever direction they prefer, through the interconnected bridges, towers and exit slides.
The Destination series is made up of three large-scale individual entertainment hubs that each vary in square footage and overall arrangement. Each model contains five core attractions for participants to interact with: a Sky Trail with multiple Sky Rails, Clip ’n Climb climbing activities, Adventure Trail netplay and a Sky Tykes. The hands-on spaces were designed for businesses that market to a broad range of guests and witness high foot traffic.
“We are so proud to welcome both Adventure Trail and the Destination series to our product family as they each offer aspects not previously available through us,” said Jon Weston, chief sales officer for RCI. “These new additions further illustrate our evolvement as a company and we’re thrilled to be able to offer clients more expansive entertainment options.”
