Saudi Arabia’s Ministry of Human Resources and Social Development (MHRSD) has begun implementing the Saudization of FECs and amusement parks.
Officially known as the Saudi Nationalisation Scheme, or Nitaqat, the policy means that Saudi companies are required to hire Saudi nationals on a quota basis.
According to Zawya.com, the policy covers 70 per cent of jobs in independent and seasonal fun cities and FECs, while 100 per cent of jobs at entertainment centres within malls must go to Saudi nationals.
Measures will now be taken by the MHRSD against companies that fail to adhere to the quotas.
