Patterson Pins in Baltimore, US, opened yesterday on the former site of Patterson Bowling Center, a nearly 100-year-old bowling alley.
The original alley closed its doors in December 2022 and shortly after was bought by Kristian Spannhake in early 2023.
Since then, US$2m has been spent redeveloping the building with 15 new apartments, a ground floor bar and a basement with two duckpin lanes.
The original bright design has been replaced by a dark, futuristic theme and a new arcade has been installed to add to the guest experience.
While no food is served within the venue, guests can buy cocktails and other drinks from the onsite bar.
The new venue will also have a nod to its predecessor, with former guests and patrons encouraged to bring along photos of themselves in the old Patterson Bowling Center to be framed and displayed on a wall within the new alley.
