Before the ribbon was officially cut by the show’s creator, Claire Underwood, and co-creators Dave Ingham and David Hodgson a number of children were allowed to explore the £850,000 visitor attraction.

The youngsters, aged one to six, inspected all five areas of Giggly Park, each themed around a different character in the show. Head of marketing at West Midland Safari Park, Daniel Griffiths said: “It was great to see so many happy, smiling faces as they explored and played in such a bright and vibrant environment. When I was introduced to the Boj creators, I knew then that by working together we could produce something amazing for our younger visitors. To see the finished result of the process two years on is fantastic.”

A long-term licensing deal with the Safari Park has been agreed with Boj brand managers, Pesky Productions, whose director, David Hodgson, said: “We are delighted Boj has found a permanent home with our friends at West Midland Safari Park. It’s such a thrill to know hundreds of thousands of kids can now play with Boj and his buddies all year round.

"It’s the start of an exciting new phase that should see Boj’s popularity continue to grow and hopefully open up further licensing opportunities to sit alongside our lovely Sega plush products now on sale in Boj Giggly Park.”
