Travel and tourism in the Middle East should grow by over 27 per cent by the end of this year, reports the World Travel and Tourism Council.

The WTTC said the domestic tourism spend in the region rose by 38.6 per cent this year, and is expected to grow by another 19.2 per cent next year, benefitting the many entertainment venues and attractions in the area.
The changes in travel restrictions between countries has been a key factor. It cites Saudi Arabia as potentially a major contributor to the rises in travel statistics, together with the UAE.
