Merlin Entertainments, the UK-based theme park and attractions company, has reported a flurry of recent activity.

It has continued to open hotel rooms at its Legoland locations in Florida and Denmark, has opened three midway attractions this year, at the Legoland Discovery Centres in Melbourne, Australia, at Philadelphia, US, and at Madame Tussauds in Nashville, US.

The Sea Life Centre in Chongqin, China, opens on June 15 and the new Little Big City opens in Berlin, Germany, in July. The Legoland Japan park opened on April 1.

The company said that trading at its theme parks had been “in line with expectations” but its UK parks had suffered a downturn after terror attacks. The group is scheduled to report its 2017 interim results on August 4.
