McDonald’s has experimented with the design of its own escape room, though there is no official confirmation of plans to install it in restaurants.

McDonald's

At the big German home games trade show, Gamescom, held in Cologne last week, McDonald’s showed its Better M Cubes, an escape room pod where players could take part in escape game puzzles, says The Stinger Report newsfeed. At the same time the company’s sustainability measures could be marketed to guests.

The first "official McDonald’s Escape Room", as it was dubbed at the show, had games developed by specialist Locked Adventures. Players raced against the clock to sold all the puzzles with winners awarded a McDonald’s Golden Card as a prize. The rest of the booth included mini-games and AR-based experiences, all designed to promote the self-sustainable message.
