There were several booths at IAAPA Expo that had a great number of new machines on display and LAI Games was no different.

Six new machines graced LAI’s floor space with the new shooting game Outnumbered taking centre stage.

It features a companion mobile app that not only keeps track of scores on a worldwide leaderboard, but it sends push notifications to the player’s device after they leave the venue with weapons that they can forge to play with on their next visit.

“People are loving it,” said Allison Timberlake, marketing and e-commerce manager at LAI. They’re already installed in Timezone locations across Asia and, since then, a huge community has been built around it with tournaments. We’re hoping for the same here in the US.”

The two-lane alley bowler, Amazing Alley uses mixed reality holographic effects to offer multiple layers of rewards designed to keep people playing.

Each hole is worth a set ticket value and an accumulating bonus jackpot can be won by collecting a star that hovers over each hole, with explosive holographic effects each time a ball is sunk. The vibrant, carnival-themed cabinet is an ideal addition to any midway and can be linked to offer four total lanes with bonus marquee.

Hyperpitch, with the same lighting and styling as previous game Hypershoot, challenges the speed and accuracy of baseball pitches. Dynamic lights chase the ball down the HyperTunnel while explosive sound effects match the ball as it hits the target.

Pearl Fishery mixes a coin pusher with a multi-layered big-ticket game. Players drop pearls down the pinboard into a matrix of multipliers to win tickets and special oversized Dragon Pearls, which give the player access to a super bonus jackpot game.

The Monster Munch ticket redemption machine emits a munching noise as tickets are fed into it, bringing an extra dimension and gamify an otherwise standard transaction.

Finally, the popular Virtual Rabbids: The Big Ride was attracting queues with its expansion pack of three new experiences.

“The new Rabbids content has been great for operators,” said Tabor Carlton, LAI’s marketing director. “It has offered new experiences, which has translated into greater earnings. The original games never really slowed down, but the expansion pack has just boosted its popularity as guests play their traditional favourites, then try the new ones too.”
