The Katmandu Park Punta Cana is now open, and promises to be a landmark new attraction for the Caribbean.

The new park brings together roller coasters, VR attractions and other state-of-the-art technology to create a unique Himalayan-infused theme park.

CNN reports that the park offers dynamic attractions such as a 36-hole golf course called Expedition Golf, the Wheel of Infinite Wonder carousel and the Legend of the Desirata 4D attraction.

Katmandu Park Punta Cana is quoted as having constructed a "big experience" yet "small footprint" park, using more compact attractions to save land that is "precious" to the Caribbean.

The park's concept is built around characters and other IP from the Hidden Realms of Katmandu franchise by Orlando-based developer Falcon's Beyond.
