The iQ reader allows customers to scan presented QR codes for efficient payment using receipts, play cards or other means.

Other products showing will be the iTeller Plus XL kiosk for water parks, trampoline parks and other attractions.

Intercard CEO Scott Sherrod said: “The increasing acceptance of the QR code worldwide prompted us to introduce our iQ readers and kiosks that read QR codes, setting the new standard for unattended amusement centre payment technology.”

Alberto Borrero, vice president of international sales at Intercard, added: “Intercard has been working in Saudi Arabia since 1997 when Adventure Land opened up in Jeddah. Since then, Intercard has been installed in over 500 amusement centres in Saudi Arabia.

"Intercard’s innovations and renowned customer service have made its technology the most used in Saudi Arabia and the MENA region. Our forward-thinking customers in Saudi Arabia including Al Hokair, Al Othaim, Abdullah Fouad, Al Mogren and SALA Entertainment have always been receptive to innovative technology that makes doing business easier.”

Sherrod and Borrero will be present at the Intercard booth 2B141 at the SEA Expo taking place on May 7-9.
