Returning to what is arguably its most popular destination, the massive IAAPA Attractions Expo will be held at the Orange County Convention Center, Orlando, Florida, US, from November 18-21 (conference: 17-21). The theme of this year's event is 'success in every direction,' reflecting the expanding membership base comprising the IAAPA organisation.

Last year’s event brought over 27,000 visitors from 90 countries to experience the products and services of over 1,100 exhibitors. Despite, the global economic downturn, organisers are confident that similar figures will be attained this year.
Certainly, by mid-September, 95 per cent of the 500,000sq.ft floor space had already been booked, with exhibitors representing 28 countries and 133 product categories. This takes in everything including rides, coin-operated amusements, admission systems, inflatables, waterpark equipment, food and beverage, theatrical equipment, costumes, children’s play and much more.
Around one-sixth of all exhibitors (nearly 200) will demonstrate their wide variety of rides, with everything from coasters to kiddie rides in the mix. At the time of press, 53 arcade and video game companies, including the American Amusement Machine Association, had confirmed attendance, while a further 36 affiliated exhibitors will show money handling equipment, photo kiosks and more.
Once again, IAAPA has lined up a variety of top speakers, who will present expert sessions throughout the duration of the event including consultant and author Scott Brown, who will discuss reaching large numbers of potential clients, as well as Peter Shankman and Jeff Putz, who will examine the impact of social media websites and their value as promotional tools. Other speakers will include amusement consultant Michael Getlan, Rob Thomas of Mulligan Family Fun Centers and Jason Bock, director of marketing for Lazertron.
