A huge new entertainment resort area has opened in the Saudi Arabian capital, Riyadh, named City Boulevard.

Sala Hub

The annual celebration now has a permanent home, offering nine different areas full of entertainment projects, reports the Saudi Press Agency, describing it as “the most important entertainment destination – the largest even area and an exception project ever built in Saudi.”

The zone, in the north of the capital, has seen a 300 per cent expansion in area, compared with the previous season, now covering 900,000sq.m.

Each of the zones has its own set of events, restaurants, cafes, gardens, game centres, festivals and stores.

It is estimated over 750,000 people attended the opening of the new permanent location this week. The activities include a Winter Wonderland with laser lighting synchronised to a fountain show, a Crystal Maze Experience, the largest cinema in the Middle East, an electric car circuit, four open-air theatres, a golf course, skating rink, 12 paddle tennis courts, a children’s area with over 500 electronic games and among the brands present is yet another FEC by the rapidly expanding Sala Entertainments.

The Sala project is named Sala Hub and comes just days after the company opened yet another of its concepts in the city, a new laser tag named iCombat at the Park Avenue Mall.
