Creative Works and Hologate recently installed multiple immersive attractions at Omni Funplex, a new FEC in Cincinnati, Ohio, US.

Hologate and Creative Works partner on FEC

The 35,000sq.ft facility includes a laser tag arena and a four-player Hologate virtual reality setup.

Adding laser tag and VR was important to owner Hari Pisati because “it adds tech flavour to the FEC and VR is the latest trend and has buzz,” he said.

Omni Funplex laser tag is a 3,552sq.ft, two-level arena with Delta Strike equipment that can accommodate up to 24 players. The theme, inspired by the movie Avatar, features an interactive environment with large robots and energy gates as well as 20 targets that are integrated into the props. Players can tag these targets with their phasers to earn rewards or advance to the next stage in a story-driven game.

This four-player Hologate VR setup features an open-air layout that allows spectators to watch the players and take in the action on the monitors.

"Creative Works has its processes nailed down in great detail," said Pisati. "They followed up many times to see if my facility is ready and has checklists to make sure they come at the right time. Great sales and customer service throughout the installation and opening process."

Omni Plex is set to open before the end of June.
