The 40,000th digital Category C machine has been brought into the UK from the Merkur factory by distributor Blueprint Sales.
Nadia Timofeev, Blueprint Operations director, said: “It demonstrates the degree to which digital machines now totally dominate the UK market.”
Timofeev was heading a team at the Manchester ARE Expo this week and said: “The actual machine that took us to that number was in the new Velocity cabinet and it was sold into the Regal operation.”
Timofeev was positive about the ARE event in Manchester. “Footfall could have been a little better, but we are speaking on the morning of the first day, so we have to give it a chance.”
