The British Association of Leisure Parks Piers and Attractions held its inaugural event focusing on the family entertainment centre sector of the leisure industry in the UK on Monday, November 27.

BALPPA holds trade show and awards

BALPPA Leisure, FEC and Indoor Play Trade Exhibition also hosted an industry awards evening celebrating excellence and quality within this subsector of the leisure and attractions industry.

The show brought together 55 different trade suppliers in the UK leisure industry, totalling 120 experts and trade specialist from across the sector. The exhibition also offered networking events, educational seminars and training, all targeted at those currently engaged or looking to engage with the leisure and attractions sector.

More than 180 professionals attended the awards dinner, where each award had been judged by an independent panel of industry experts.

Excellence award trophies and certificates, bronze to gold, were presented to the 19 organisations that submitted the best body of entries to the competition across seven key categories.

First place winners included Safari MK, The Bubbles Factory, Head Over Heals, Web Adventure, Hobbledown, Teddy Mountain UK and Jungleland.
