A desperate plea for help in staying open has been launched by the only arcade in Salisbury, UK, the Highest Score, which operates on a pay-at-the-door basis with all games inside on free play.

The venue is in the Cross Keys Shopping Centre in the city and was opened by a pinball enthusiast on the basis of £8 entry and unlimited free play.

However, the economic downturn and rising costs forced the location to close down a few weeks ago. Now the owner plans to give it one more shot, opening it from noon to 10pm this Friday and Saturday for £1 minimum entrance.

Party bookings are also reduced by 50 per cent with a guarantee that they will be honoured no matter whether the arcade survives.
