Fresh arcade openings in the US include the retro and the most modern.

Nerd Alert

In Memphis, Tennessee, the ‘80s are the theme of Nerd Alert, an arcade opened in the Cooper-Young neighbourhood of the city by Melissa and Tyler Oswald, says the Memphis Flyer.

They have another location named Clutter in Morris, Illinois.

At the same time, a new virtual reality venue with café has opened in the Indiana Mall, Pennsylvania, named Ziggy’s VR Arcade. The location offers VR bays that may be rented by the hour or half-hour, says the Indiana Gazette.

The players are generally between eight years and 12, but some older, says the owner, John Fordyce. He has erected screens outside the VR bays so that others can watch the game-play.
