Apple Industries of the US has announced that the popular photo booth from Digital Centre, known in the industry as the New Generation Photo ID machine, has been making steady inroads into the Canadian market.

As a result of this, the company now offers an electronic coin acceptor to accommodate the Canadian Loonie and Toonie. According to sales director Mel LaForce, units being shipped north of the border can be easily fitted with an electronic pulse-reading coin acceptor that will take any combination of Loonie and Toonie.

“Up to this point,” explains LaForce, “most of the sales have been in the US and we’ve been letting our Canadian neighbours adapt our photo booth on their own, but with the sales increasing nicely now, we can do all this retrofit work for them without any additional charge.”
