Bandai Namco enjoyed an “amazing” showing at the IAAPA Attractions Expo in the US last month.

Mach Storm

Among the new games on display were Mach Storm, a dome-screen flying simulation and shooting game, a new 55ins-screen version of Alpine Racer, which is a collaboration between Bandai Namco and Raw Thrills, and Mario Kart, which can be linked online to enable upgrades of tracks and new features.

The soon-to-be-released Dead Heat Riders was also present, which sees players ride motorcycles around London, New York, Chicago and San Francisco, racing in a head-to-head action against other players. The game also incorporates Nam-Cam, enabling a picture of players to be incorporated within the game.

The company’s existing line-up of games, including Pac-Man Smash, Triple Turn, Dark Escape and Deadstorm Pirates, also attracted a large number of players and – crucially – orders from distributors and operators.

“We had an absolutely amazing IAAPA this year,” said John Brennan, commercial director at Namco Europe. “We are fired up and ready to spread the message back in Europe about our amazing line-up featuring products that will meet the most exacting expectations.”
