SmashSwing Immersive, the golf entertainment company, has secured a deal with Atari to develop two new games based on its iconic Asteroids and Centipede properties.

The games will be included as part of SmashSwing’s gold entertainment library and playable at its licensed venues once completed. SmashSwing’s CEO, TJ Schier, said: “These licensed IP brands are the first of many that will allow us to deliver a steady stream of games and tap into iconic, ardent fan bases to drive players into our venues.
“These collaborations will elevate the user experience and drive repeat visits to SmashSwing locations.”
Cassandra Brown, senior director of licensing at Atari, added: “We are excited to partner with SmashSwing Immersive to bring two of the most well-known video games ever created to their unique golfing experience.
“We are confident Atari's fan-favourite games will be a hit with SmashSwing players of all ages.”
SmashSwing’s first installations are scheduled to open later this summer in Canada, Europe and New York, US.
