Macau’s gross gaming and gambling revenues have achieved a year-on-year increase of 15.2 per cent.
Revenues totalled US$ 24.93bn from January to August, according to the Gaming Inspection and Coordination Bureau.
Year-on-year growth rates have been falling consistently since the beginning of the year, with January seeing the largest (34.8 per cent). However, gross revenues posted in August alone ($ 3.267bn) were the second-highest ever recorded and were exceeded only by those in October of last year ($ 3.28bn).
Macau’s 35 casinos accommodate a total of 5,498 gaming tables and 17,035 slot machines.
