The United Arab Emirates has launched a regulated national lottery with a top prize of DH100m (US$27m).
The UAE Lottery, which is to be managed by Abu Dhabi-based operator The Game, which is licensed by the General Commercial Gaming Regulatory Authority (GCGRA), is set for its inaugural draw on December 14.
Live draws will be held bi-weekly on Saturdays. Players will choose six number between 1 and 31, and a seventh number between 1 and 12. Participants must be at least 18 to enter.
“We aim to create exciting experiences while promoting responsible play,” said Bishop Woosley, director of Lottery Operations at The Game, according to the Khaleej Times.
“Following a rigorous GCGRA evaluation, our team remains committed to ensuring that all operations meet global standards, guaranteeing fairness and transparency from the draw process to the selection of winners."
