The introduction of table games at Pennsylvania's casinos is proving to be a lucrative venture, with revenues up again in October.

The state’s 10 casinos produced gross revenue of $40.9m in October, up from $36.9m in the previous month.

Harrah’s Chester Casino and Racetrack, which operates the most tables with 99, generated the largest proportion of total revenue with $5.8m. The average number of tables operating daily in October was 707, two per cent more than in September.

Slot machine revenue, meanwhile, continues to improve. In October the figure stood at $197.5m, representing an 11.49 per cent increase on the same month last year.
