UK National Lottery operator Allwyn says the recent 10-week-long EuroMillions rollover – which ended with a £208m win – generated the highest number of sales in the game’s history.

On Friday June 6, at the peak of the run, 18,600 tickets a minute were being sold, Allwyn said. From Tuesday, April 8, to the win on Tuesday, June 17, it added EuroMillions generated over £550m in sales.
The sales translated to £190m being allocated for good causes – another record for the game.
Allwyn, which operates across Europe, has been implementing changes throughout the UK market after it took over the National Lottery licence from Camelot in February 2024.
Among the changes is retail scratchcard technology in partnership with Scientific Games.
