Quixant will launch of its DM range of gaming monitors at the G2E show in Las Vegas, which opens today.

The range is designed specifically for gaming applications and uniquely supports the daisy-chaining of monitors through the use of DisplayPort 1.2 Multi-Stream Transport technology. Quixant is the first manufacturer to bring this technology to the gaming industry.

Designed to perfectly complement Quixant’s gaming platform range, the DM range of monitors allow multiple monitors to be run from a single DisplayPort 1.2 interface and, when combined with Quixant’s flagship QX-40 product, up to 10 Quixant DM displays can be driven. The daisy-chain capability greatly simplifies cable complexity in gaming machine cabinets.

Quixant’s DM DisplayPort monitor range is highly flexible and sizes from 19ins to 32ins are available in a range of different aspect ratios and resolutions. Quixant can also offer a range of touchscreens to accompany the screens.

The DM range utilises LED backlighting which maximises image clarity, sharpness, brightness and reliability but with reduced heat generation and power consumption. Sales director Gary Mullins said: “We continue to invest heavily in research and development to bring unique products to our customers which assist them in developing unrivalled gaming machines.

“The DM range of DisplayPort monitors are further testament to Quixant’s desire to offer a complete gaming platform solution which works coherently together rather than just a selection of individual components. The monitor range is another example of the benefits of working with a manufacturer who specialises in designing and manufacturing products for the gaming industry.

“The monitors, which use the latest DisplayPort 1.2 technology, have been specifically designed for open frame implementation and can be customised to enable the monitor to be easily integrated into the existing cabinet.”
