Merkur Gaming has made further inroads into eastern Europe with the opening of an electronic Merkur Casino in Sofia, Bulgaria,and the opening of a Merkur Casino entertainment centre in the city of Pitesti, Romania, over the past two months.
The Palms Merkur Casino is located in the heart of Sofia, was jointly designed and operated by Merkur Casino and its Bulgarian co-operation partner Casino Technology, and covers approximately 600sq.m.
The casino houses a total of 62 gaming machines and features live music shows every Friday which, according to the companies, has contributed to making the entertainment centre become one of the favourite and most fashionable centre’s in the city’s neighbourhood.
The newest Merkur Casino to open in Pitesti, Romania, is the eighth location to be opened by the gaming giant in the country so far.
Located within the main shopping and pedestrian zone in the city centre, it includes 35 modern casino gaming machines including Atronic’s popular Cashfever and electronic roulette tables, allowing patrons to enjoy modern entertainment in an exclusive ambiance 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
