The Mexican market is very important to used games specialist ISMS now that operators there have made a major realisation.
“In the past a lot of operators have been buying new machines for all their sites, whether these are quality casinos or street ‘cellars’,” said the company’s Sam Arnold. “But now these operators have realised that these lesser locations cannot support new machines. “We have a good reputation and our distribution from Miami is quick. As a result, our sales in Mexico have increased significantly.” ISMS offers a full range of slot machines from all manufacturers, plus a full offering of software. The company also provides the appropriate compliance documents to show that the machines are not counterfeit. “Some other used machine suppliers sell games without the correct documentation,” said Arnold. “We do things right and, as a result, we are one of the largest importers of used machines into Mexico.” Elsewhere in Latin America, ISMS has good relationships with all the operators in Peru. “After 10 years in the market, all these operators are friends of mine and in the last 12 months we have been the largest importer of used machines into Peru,” said Arnold. “In fact, around 90 per cent of them were from us. It comes down to the fact that our machines are original and meet all the requirements of the market. “We also provide excellent back-up support. In short, our offer is of a different calibre to that of other used machines suppliers. It’s a completely different playing field.”
