Trans World Corporation has confirmed that KC Bidding, in which it holds a 25 per cent stake, has won a government tender for the development of a casino in the Central-Transdanubian region of Hungary.
The casino, defined as a Class I facility, is to include a minimum of 100 gaming tables and 1,000 slot machines.
KC Bidding has been given a 60-day period to develop a concession contract with the state to form a company to operate the casino. Under the terms of the tender, the casino licence will be granted for 20 years from the date of opening, which must be before January 1, 2014. There is an additional 10-year extension option and the Hungarian Government will not grant any other casino licences for the region during this time.
The casino is expected to form part of the King’s City resort planned for Sukoro, on a 173-acre stretch of land on the banks of Lake Velence, near Budapest.
