Fournier and United States Plating Card Company have designed special edition playing cards for the 43rd annual World Series of Poker in Las Vegas.
The event, which culminates with the final on July 16, brings together more than 75,000 entrants competing for $192m in prize money. Around 480 tables have been set up in the 125,000sq.ft ballroom at the Rio Hotel and Casino.
Fournier and USPC will provide its 100 per cent PVC playing cards for the WSOP tournament tables. These playing cards are designed to offer longer resistance and durability, easy shuffling and unmatchable snap.
“Poker is a game that puts playing cards under great stress,” said Javier Berasategui, export director at Fournier. “Cards are folded hundreds of times and players take their resistance to the limit when trying to sneak a peep. Our 100 per cent playing cards stay flat, clean and crispy after hundreds of shuffles and deals.”
