Only one bid has been received by Hull City Council for the large casino licence granted to the city under the 2005 Gambling Act.
Apollo Resorts and Leisure is seeking to operate a casino as part of £100m mixed-use development in the city centre, the Hull Daily Mail reports. Apollo previously put forward plans for a £25m, three-storey entertainment complex. Under the licence, operators will be permitted to operate up to 150 slots.
Councillors will now consider the company’s application later this month.
