Developers are confident that construction of the $5bn destination resort at Incheon International Airport in South Korea, which will include four Las Vegas-style casinos, will begin in September of next year.
The project will also include over 7,000 hotel rooms, 350,000sq.ft of retail space and two golf courses. Caesar’s Entertainment, Universal and South Korea’s Paradise Group are the companies behind the project, named Air City, which will be targeting visitors from China.
Air City is one of several ambitious new projects in Asia designed to replicate the success of Macau and Singapore. Others include the Manila Bay development in the Philippines and the Ho Tram project in Vietnam.
