JP Morgan's survey of the Australian slot machine business, issued last week, shows Ainsworth as 'delivering the best product at present'.
This is the result of questions put to 149 gaming managers from pubs and clubs in Victoria, South Australia, New South Wales and Queensland.
The survey, as a percentage of machines, showed Ainsworth favoured by 46.1%, with IGT second at 25.3% and Aristocrat third at 16.2%. As a percentage of respondents, Aristocrat came out on top at 32.8% with IGT second at 28.2% and Ainsworth third at 26.7%.
The survey comments that compared with 12 months ago, Ainsworth Game Technology had increased in popularity. Chairman Len Ainsworth commented this week: “We are doing extremely well. Our new machine had a wonderful reception and the Australian market is holding up well which is more than we can say for the US or Europe.”
