Alderney-based Sega Games has ceased operations at its poker and casino websites.
The branded online gaming sites of Sega Corporation were launched last year after Sega Games received a full interactive online gambling licence from the Alderney Gambling Control Commission.
The sites state that the company is “no longer accepting registration/deposits from your jurisdiction” and Sega advises existing customers to access their accounts and withdraw funds.
The closure has been met with little response from Sega apart from a statement that has appeared on several reports on the internet, which say that an affiliate marketing spokesman commented: "We would like to inform everyone that right now we just have a lot of restrictions, we can’t cater to players from a lot of jurisdictions. All affected players will be informed by our customer service team."
