Yggdrasil has unveiled the sequel to its Winterberries slot, which was first released in 2016.
Winterberries 2 is set across a 6x3 reel configuration, with 20 paylines and features including multipliers, respins and free spins.
The respins mode is triggered when any winning combination lands, with all winning symbols remaining on the reels. Players can freeze them in place by landing more winning symbols, with the round continuing until no more winning combinations occur.
Ten free spins are granted when three or more scatter symbols land and multipliers are doubled in this round. If a special scatter lands, all multipliers can increase by up to +15 and players can be awarded an extra spin.
Stuart McCarthy, head of product and programs at Yggdrasil, said the Winterberries title has been “elevated.”
He added that having every winning spin result in a respin is a "great way to continue to boost player engagement."
Players can activate the sixth reel via the Golden Bet feature for an increased stake, doubling the chances of entering the free spins round.
