Pragmatic Play makes expanding wilds and modifiers key to its new Ancient Island Megaways slot.
Up to four modifiers can appear at any time in the 6x7-configured game’s base game or bonus game, above reels two to five.
Wild symbols expand to fill entire reels, activating any modifier above that reel.
A modifier can award one of several prizes including an extra wild reel, more ways to win or a cash prize of 100x.
Modifiers can also lead to multipliers of between 2x and 50x or random symbols in place of non-winning symbols.
Landing between four and 16 scatters trigger the bonus game with between 12 and 16 free spins. During the feature, all four modifier positions are “guaranteed to be filled on every spin,” Pragmatic Play said.
An extra spins modifier is also added, randomly awarding between two and 10 free spins.
