Zeal Network chief commercial officer Sönke Martens is stepping down from his role in the company’s board, which will be streamlined to three members.

Martens has decided not to renew his board contract and is pursuing “entrepreneurial opportunities” away from the company, according to CEO Helmut Becker.
Martens will depart from his role on Thursday while staying at the company until February to ensure a smooth transition process.
The changes to Zeal’s board structure will come into effect from Friday.
Becker said: “Under his [Martens’] leadership Zeal tripled billings in the core business, successfully integrated the Lotto24 and Tipp24 businesses and achieved a significant improvement in customer lifetime values and the way we win new customers.”
Martens joined Zeal in 2014 and became. Board member in July 2021, assuming responsibility for Lotto24, Zeal Iberia and product management among other roles.
