A slots player in Norway has won €2.9m on Yggdrasil Gaming’s Joker Millions progressive jackpot slot after playing the game on his phone as he waited outside a shop for his girlfriend.

The 21-year-old from Oslo was playing the slot on LeoVegas on Monday afternoon and won €2,881,257 from a stake of just €1.25 as his girlfriend bought groceries.
He said he plans to invest his winnings in property, and also take his girlfriend to the Maldives to celebrate.
Fredrik Elmqvist, CEO at Yggdrasil, said: “It is a huge thrill to see someone win such a staggering sum of money from a single spin on an Yggdrasil slot.”
Karolina Pelc, head of casino at LeoVegas, added: “We are delighted that this jackpot was won by one of our customers who was playing LeoVegas on his mobile phone as a means to keep himself entertained.
“This truly shows what LeoVegas stands for - number one in mobile entertainment.”
