The US Department of Justice has until November 12 to file paperwork with a US Appeals Court on its appeal of a district court ruling against its opinion that America’s Wire Act prohibits all types of online betting across state lines.
The New Hampshire Lottery will have 30 days to respond to the department’s filings.
The department appealed after a district court in New Hampshire ruled in favour of the lottery that the Wire Act only applies to sports betting.
It is anticipated the case may eventually go to the US Supreme Court.
