Racing Post has created a first with an enhancement of its popular iPhone app.
The application, which is currently the most popular horse racing app in the App Store, now boasts seamless betting directly from William Hill.
Users can now browse Racing Post’s news, tips and data, and place a bet by tapping the William Hill Sportsbook and Racebook odds on the racecard. The race can then be followed with the Live Reporter function.
"We’ve seen over 200,000 downloads of our free app since we launched," said Mark Renshaw, head of online for Racing Post. "When we surveyed our iPhone app users earlier this year, betting through the app was requested and we soon undertook a process to find a suitable betting partner," he added.
