Sports betting revenue in Vermont, US, rose by over 90 per cent in November.

The Vermont Department of Liquor & Lottery said revenue was US$2.06m, up 93.8 per cent from $1.06m in October.
The revenue came from overall handle of $18.4m, which was a 6.3 per cent jump on October’s $17.3m.
As for sports betting tax proceeds, November’s count was $653,891, an increase of 92.7 per cent from October’s $339,378.
American football, with total bets of $6.2m, was the most popular sport for Vermont bettors in November followed by basketball, which accounted for $5m of the handle.
In-state residents bet $13.9m while those crossing the border into Vermont to bet in November placed bets worth $4.5m.
