Mobile sports betting revenue in Vermont declined by 38.6 per cent in May to US$1.2m.

The figure, which marks the fourth full month of regulated online wagering following its launch in January, dropped from the $1.7m posted in April.
The revenue came from a handle of $12.6m, which was a drop of 26.2 per cent from April’s $17.1m.
Subsequent tax collections in May hit $382,430, down 28.2 per cent from $532,457 in April.
The Vermont Department of Liquor and Lottery reported that basketball, as in April, remained the top sport for wagers, pulling in $4.1m of the total handle.
Baseball and tennis followed with bets of $2.8m and $1.4m, respectively.
The regulator added that $9.9m of the handle came from devices from residents registered in Vermont, with bets of $2.7m coming from devices crossing the state border into Vermont.
