On Wednesday, March 13, the US Attorney for the Southern District of New York, Preet Bharara, announced that the Garden City Group had been retained as Claims Administrator to oversee the process of compensation in the Full Tilt Poker case.

Bharara said: “The Garden City Group brings a track record of handling the administration of some of the country’s largest and most complicated settlements. With their selection, we take a significant step forward in the process of compensating victims of the Full Tilt Poker scheme.”
GCG has introduced the claims website FullTiltPokerClaims.com, which offers affected players automatic updates and up-to-date detail about the case.
Pokerstars, which now owns Full Tilt Poker, settled with the US government in July 2012, forfeiting more than $500m in a series of three payments. Around half of that total was to be set aside for the compensation of Full Tilt Poker's US players.
Although the Claims Administrator had orginally been expected to commence work in January, it is now being widely reported that the process will begin “shortly”.
The claims website currently carries the note: “Please continue to check this website for updates regarding this administration. Once the claim process begins, claimants will be able to submit Petitions for Remission electronically through this website.”
