A court has upheld a penalty imposed by the UK Gambling Commission against an operator.

The UKGC fined Daub Alderney £5.85m for social responsibility and anti-money laundering failures in September 2021.
The operator appealed to the First-Tier Tribunal, claiming an excessive, unfair and disproportionate penalty.
However, Judge Findlay said there were “no new facts which persuade me that the decision was wrong.”
The judge added that the “serious breaches” by Daub Alderney were similar to those for which a “substantial financial penalty” was handed out in another case in 2018.
Sarah Gardner, deputy CEO of the Gambling Commission, said: “We welcome the First-Tier Tribunal’s decision to dismiss this appeal.
“We do not take the decision to fine gambling companies lightly but we will always take firm, decisive action against operators who fail to follow rules aimed at making gambling safe and free from crime.”
