The National Council for Problem Gambling administered the company’s iCAP accreditation for best practices in consumer protection in Ohio and New Jersey.

The operator is the first sportsbook to have achieved the iCAP recognition from the NCPG, having launched the Fair Play Pledge in February 2024.

Bryan Schroeder, senior vice president – Compliance & Legal at Tipico said the accreditation “validates our approach to make fair play a company-wide initiative that requires buy-in by our employees.”

The recognition, which is valid until March 2026, involved Tipico’s responsible gambling practices undergoing an audit by industry consultancy service the Gambling Integrity.

Keith Whyte, NCPG executive director, said: “We commend Tipico for the unwavering commitment to the safety of their users and for setting an exemplary standard for the industry.”
