Media speculation about the possible sale of Playtech has led the big igaming products supplier to make an official statement confirming an offer.

Playtech said that it had been approached by JKO Play, requesting due diligence to establish terms for an offer. It confirms that JKO is controlled by Eddie Jordan and Keith O’Loughlin. Jordan is the former boss of Formula F1 while O’Loughlin is a former executive at Scientific Games.
The release said that JKO had indicated that it was in discussions with Centerbridge Partners and other entities to seek institutional funding. At this time diligence is ongoing and discussions are at "an early stage"
Playtech had announced that it had received another preliminary approach from Gopher Investments in October and those discussions are also ongoing.
Quite apart from that, the company had reached agreement with Aristocrat (UK) Holdings on terms that would see Aristocrat acquire the entire issued capital of Playtech at 680p per share in cash. That offer is currently with shareholders and a meeting to consider the offer is to take place on January 12, 2022.
