Virtual sports have now been around for a couple of decades but it is only in recent times that they have truly rocketed as a vertical.
NOT everyone outside the sector know this, but betting on virtual sports is quite an old concept.
That comment came from Peter Nolan of Digitain, who told iNTERGAMINGi: “Similar to the uplift seen in the popularity of this product caused by the issue with live sports due to the impact of the pandemic in early 2020, virtual sports’ early success was due to a different type of crisis.
