March 1 next year will see the opening up of the Swedish market for B2B licence applications, said the country’s gambling regulator the Spelinspektionen.

Although a bill to approve the licensing process has yet to pass through the Swedish parliament, the regulator’s plans are still pressing ahead for the licensing so that there are no delays once the law is approved.
Only those companies working in the legal online gambling market will be able to apply, said Spelinspektionen. The plan is to invoke an application fee for a supplier’s licence of SEK120,000 (€11,000).
