The number of suspicious sports betting reports in the Netherlands decreased “sharply” in 2023, according to the Dutch gambling regulator.

However, Kansspelautoriteit said that the signals came from “other external sources of reasonable size” instead of licensees.
Compared to 40 reports in 2022, licensees only reported six reports of potential match fixing in 2023.
The findings are contained in the KSA’s Match Fixing Trend Analysis 2023.
“Based on these results from the Match Fixing Trend Analysis 2023, the KSA will make even more efforts to remind licensed providers of their legal obligation to inform the KSA without delay about indications that indicate an increased risk of manipulation of an involved match,” it said.
