The latest report from Sportradar says there was a 34 per cent increase in the number of suspicious sports matches across 2022, reaching a record number.

UFDS also enables Sportradar to monitor anonymised account level data from over 600 bookmakers worldwide to gain insight into otherwise undetectable micro-level suspicious betting activity.
UFDS found there were 1,212 suspicious matches in total in 2022 – a record yearly number – with football seeing the largest number of suspicious matches at 775, up 11.5 per cent.
However, the 250 per cent rise in the number of suspicious basketball events UFDS found was the biggest increase.
The number of criminal and sporting sanctions issued by Sportradar’s partners in 2022 more than doubled to 163.
