The B2B software and data services division of the Sporting Index Group, Sporting Solutions, is significantly extending its coverage of baseball for the 2012 MLB season.

“The demand for US sports continues to grow and many more punters are now betting in-play on these sports. As we did with the start of the NFL, NBA and NHL seasons, we have significantly extended our baseball coverage and we expect this to prove very popular with our existing and prospective partners,” saidd Ronnie Whelan, business development director of Sporting Solutions.

US sports are particularly popular among the company’s list of partners and approximately 45 MLB matches will be covered in-play each week. Sporting Solutions will be providing fixed-odds prices for 25 markets on these baseball games in real time, together with updated scores and other match facts.

The extended range of markets on offer will range from match odds to handicap betting to total match and team runs, as well as individual innings runs and innings winner. Bookmakers will now be able to outsource and automate in-play pricing on 22 sports.

All data services are available through a single point of integration to its cloud-based global trading platform, which also delivers trading software tools on demand.

The company’s list of partner operators includes William Hill, ToteSport, Skybet, Centrebet and Blue Square.
